I’ve just been working out some stats for Am I Paddy Or Not? and the results are vaguely interesting. There have been 1238 votes and the percentages that think each particular person is Paddy are below.

So 60% of people correctly identified Paddy as being Paddy, but over a quarter thought that Jim was Paddy. That’s probably because of their similar haircuts. A similar percentage also can’t tell the difference between Paddy and Phil Collins. I think we all thought that figure would be higher.
Bhagesh is the person who should be happiest. He’s least likely to be mistaken for Paddy. Surprisingly, Louise and Anne resemble Paddy more.
Having Prof Hawkings as a doppleganger must be down to the state he used to get himself into at the White Hart. Although I do see some similarity. Just think of Hawkings sloughing back with a Faaaaag !
What amazes me the most is that after me the next 4 people are imaginary.
I’m just pleased that Kieren is more like you than I am.
Not wanting to point out the obvious but….. surely Big Jim, Stephen Hawking and Phil Collins are real people? I’ve only met Big Jim but I’m pretty sure the others exist too….
PS Based on these results I’ve attached a sticker to myself which says “Warning: May contain 19.2% Paddy” – I’d hate anyone to have an allergic reaction
